Classes

Classes will take place at the Entrepreneur Center from 8a.m.-noon. and will include small group discussion. We are working on a virtual plan as well. In addition to the classes taught by Michael Burcham and Matt Charette, we will offer a goal setting & accountability session with Andy Bailey of Petra, as well as forum training and placement and invitations to many EO Nashville events.

The classes take place on Friday mornings. Specific dates and class topics are listed below, so please check your calendar to make sure that you are available during these dates/times.


Session 1: Getting the Business Model Right

Friday, October 20th, 2023 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Develop a clear starting point to launch your journey to success
  • Assess the current scalability of your business
  • Gain knowledge of tools to evaluate your business model
  • Understand how trends can improve your business growth
  • Discover how to develop points of difference for your target customer
  • Evaluate your business model and your company’s value proposition
  • Learn “the business frame” – a tool to help you identify and make the needed adjustments to your business to help it grow.

Session 2:
Building the Team & Identifying Key Stakeholders

Friday, November 10th, 2023 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Learn new methods to evaluate and optimize your team
  • Discover how to leverage your strengths and the strengths of your team
  • Explore methods to interview and hire
  • Use tools to help you develop the right team and create accountability
  • Link your Mission, Vision and Values
  • Discuss the drivers of team engagement and discretionary effort
  • Assess your key stakeholders
  • Master stakeholder analysis
  • Secure meaningful advisors

 

Session 3:
Learning to Work “On” the Business

Friday, December 8th, 2023 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Develop the skills to help you “work on the business” and not just in the business
  • Identify the key measures you will need to help you manage the overall health of your business
  • Use the “Wheel of Business” to identify weak spots in your organization
  • Make better decisions by learning the FOCUS Model
  • Learn to lead a growing business without it becoming “chaos”
  • Build organizational alignment

Session 4:
Driving Growth Through Sales & Marketing

Friday, January 19th, 2024
(8:00 AM-Noon)

  • Learn models for both marketing and selling your product(s) and services(s)
  • Create key customer personas
  • Develop skills in market segmentation.
  • Understand elements of an end-user profile
  • Learn to develop a marketing and selling “funnel” with your team to accelerate your company’s growth
  • Evaluate methods to create great customer experiences
  • Create customer journey maps

Session 5:
Scaling The Business

Friday, February 9th, 2024

  • Understand how to scale a business successfully
  • Discover where and how to focus to build success
  • Establish a framework for building scale
  • Identify what meaningful growth looks like
  • Explore the “Good to Great” model of building scale
  • Identify tools to effectively manage your team as you grow

Session 6: Becoming the Leader Your Team & Your Business Needs

  • Learn more about the work of leaders
  • Experience what it means to become a better leader
  • Understand Leading vs. Managing
  • Embrace the suck
  • Learn best-practices to focus your time and your energy to achieve meaningful success
  • Evaluate the strategies that drive value and apply those insights to your business even if you don’t ever plan to sell
  • Build a plan to mentor your team
  • Gain new insights for strategic planning to help your business continue to thrive

Goal Setting Session with Andy Bailey

The Problem: I’m too busy working to have a life. Is all this hard work worth it?

The Solution: In this final session, Andy Bailey will teach you how to achieve your life’s most important goals despite being incredibly busy.

 

Mandatory Forum Training

Wednesday, April 17th, 2024
(8 AM-5:00PM)

This training is MANDATORY in order to be able to participate in the Forum portion of the Catalyst program. It will be taught by EO’s professional trainer, Ellie Byrd of Forum Sherpa, and is always a very valuable experience for attendees.
