Classes

Classes will take place at the Entrepreneur Center from 8a.m.-noon. and will include small group discussion. We are working on a virtual plan as well. In addition to the classes taught by Michael Burcham and Matt Charette, we will offer a goal setting & accountability session with Andy Bailey of Petra, as well as forum training and placement and invitations to many EO Nashville events.

The classes take place on Friday mornings. Specific dates and class topics are listed below, so please check your calendar to make sure that you are available during these dates/times.


Session 1: Getting the Business Model Right

Friday, October 21, 2022 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Develop a clear starting point to launch your journey to success
  • Assess the current scalability of your business
  • Gain knowledge of tools to evaluate your business model
  • Understand how trends can improve your business growth
  • Discover how to develop points of difference for your target customer
  • Learn “the business frame” – a tool to help you identify and make the needed adjustments to your business to help it grow.

Session 2: Building the Team & Identifying Key Stakeholders

Friday, November 4, 2022 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Learn new methods to evaluate and optimize your team
  • Discover how to leverage your strengths and the strengths of your team to maximize performance
  • Explore methods to hire and develop the right team, design effective roles, and create accountability
  • Assess your key stakeholders
  • Learn to develop a board (both advisory and boards of directors)
  • Master stakeholder analysis
  • Securing meaningful advisors

 

Session 3: Learning to Work “On” the Business

Friday, December 2, 2022 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Develop the skills to help you “work on the business” and not just in the business
  • Identify the key measures you will need to help you manage the overall health of your business
  • Learn to lead a growing business without it becoming “chaos”

 

Session 4: Driving Growth Through Coordinated Marketing & Sales

Friday, January 20, 2023 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Learn models for both marketing and selling your product(s) and services(s)
  • Create key customer personas
  • Develop skills in market segmentation.
  • Learn to develop a marketing and selling “funnel” with your team to accelerate your company’s growth
  • Evaluate methods to create great customer experiences

 

Session 5: Scaling the Business

Friday, February 17th, 2023 (8:00 AM-Noon)

  • Understand how to scale a business successfully
  • Discover where and how to focus to build success
  • Identify what meaningful growth looks like
  • Study what it means to be a high performing CEO
  • Identify tools to effectively manage your cash flow so you can grow

 

Session 6: Becoming the Leader Your Team and Your Business Needs

Friday, March 31, 2023 (8:00AM-Noon)

  • Experience what it means to become a better leader
  • Learn best-practices to focus your time and your energy to achieve meaningful success
  • Evaluate the strategies of successful exits and apply those insights to your business to make it valuable – even if you don’t ever plan to sell
  • Build a plan to mentor your team
  • Gain new insights for strategic planning to help your business continue to thrive

 

Goal Setting Session with Andy Bailey

Friday, March 3rd, 2023 (8:30 AM-Noon)

The Problem: I’m too busy working
to have a life. Is all this hard work worth it?

The Solution: In this final session, Andy Bailey will teach you how to achieve your life’s most important goals despite being incredibly busy.

 

Mandatory Forum Training

Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 (8:00 AM-5:00PM)

This training is MANDATORY in order to be able to participate in the Forum portion of the Catalyst program. It will be taught by Ellie Byrd of Forum Sherpa, location TBD.
