In This Episode
Are you struggling to identify with your EO forum partners? Maybe you’re unable to resonate with shared experiences or reflection questions. So, how can you support your partners in their forum deep dives while benefiting from the experience yourself?
Forum sherpa Colton Mulligan’s suggestion: be selfish. Instead of dispensing general advice after a shared experience, it’s helpful to complement your partner’s concerns with a similar experience. This is known as the Gestalt Method, or more recently, Forum Mindset, which seeks to provide comprehensive value through unified experiences. Similarly, when facilitating questions during reflection periods, Colton emphasizes asking broad and universal questions about each story’s implication, rather than specific questions that only apply to the individual.
In today’s episode of The Decision, Robert Hartline is joined by Colton Mulligan of FoxFuel Creative and Eric Jackson of Element 47, to discuss how to be a supportive partner during EO forum deep dives. Together, they explain the Gestalt/Forum Mindset Method, how to optimize forum experience-sharing, and how to facilitate action on unresolved problems.
